10 Richest Video Gamers In The World Today

8. Jesse "Jerax" Vainikka

Net worth: $3.3 million

The Finnish player Jesse Vainikka began his career playing Heroes of Newerth, a somewhat spiritual successor to the game that went on to dominate the Moba scene, DOTA 2. Jesse is currently one of the most revered players in the DOTA 2 scene, currently playing for Team OG, of which he led to victory at the International 2018 tournament.

Boasting one of the more expansive careers on our list, Vainikka currently owns and runs his own merchandise company, named Jerax. After serving his time in the Finnish Navy, compulsory in the country, Jesse returned to his computer and began decimating on DOTA 2, earning a name for himself.

Proving one of the more controversial moves in gaming, he left the hyper-successful Team Liquid to join rival team OG and has since helped lead them to wins at multi-million dollar prize tournaments, such as the Boston and Kiev Majors. His team also won a crazy $11.23 million prize pool at the TI18. This 27-year-old continues to perform at an elite level and is proving a consistent player among his peers.
