10 Ridiculous DLC Extras Video Games Expected You To Pay For

1. The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild - Hard Mode

It's fair to say, without exaggeration, that Breath of the Wild is rightfully deserving of all the claim it gets. So what could make this amazing game even better?

How about some extra challenge and a hard mode for a fifth of what you paid for the game?

Wait, no. That sounds awful.

Didn't stop Nintendo from doing it, though.

Master Mode is a great idea on paper. Essentially a New Game + mode for BotW, it would have been a great continuation after completing the game. No, gotta pay for it.

Trial of the Sword would have been Zelda's version of the Bloody Palace from Devil May Cry. They get that for free, not here though.

Breath of the Wild is already a cracking game, with players coming up with new and inventive ways to complete Shrines and kill those pesky Guardians. But it feels that instead of being rewarded with more challenge, you're expected to pay for it.

It's not like Nintendo to fleece gamers for DLC, but I guess even they couldn't help themselves in the wake of BotW's rampant success.
