Developer: tri-Crescendo Platform: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 The premise: Eternal Sonata is based around Polish pianist and composer Frédéric Chopin. The entire game takes place in a fictional world imagined by Chopin during his final hours, as he died of tuberculosis at the age of 39. It gets weirder: The game is totally dedicated to the life and works of Chopin. In fact, each chapter of the game represents, and is themed around, one of Chopin's most famous compositions. Much of the battling in the game makes use of instruments and musical combos. Best of all, it features lengthy educational cutscenes, complete with real historical photographs and artwork.
