10 Rumoured Video Games That Could Release In 2023

9. Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora

This is only game on this list that has had an actual reveal but it's development history so far has been shaky from a consumer standpoint. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was first announced in 2017 for release in 2022, surely alongside the blockbuster sequel The Way of Water. However, as this time approached, the game was pushed back to a rather nonspecific "2023-2024 window".

However, one particular Twitter user got their hands on some info that made it pretty clear that the game would be at least out before the end of the year. Apparently, on the backend of the Ubisoft store the title is ready to go live for purchase, and the anonymous source even dropped a look at the game's pre-order bonuses. These tweets are now deleted which is usually telling that these things are, in fact, real.

Most games don't gear up for pre-orders more than a few months in advance so it's possible that Frontiers of Pandora is looking at a summer release. The game has a huge chance of being a great success for Ubisoft. Despite the bellyaching one way or the other about the films, Avatar routinely pulls in the big bucks.

It may have been slated to release alongside Way of Water but appearing in the gap year between the second and third films might also be healthy for the sci-fi series.
