Its roster is jam-packed with terrifying antagonists, with the likes of Lady Dimitrescu, Mr. X, and Nemesis haunting consoles across the globe. Yet, this nameless beast from Resident Evil Village is so scary it shoots right to the top of this list. 

You encounter this monster in House Beneviento after having all of your weapons stripped away. As you explore this desolate area, you'll find yourself wandering down a hallway when suddenly you hear the bizarre babbling of a baby. Then, you see it, a malformed giant fetus that comes after you. Ew. 

While the visual design of the monster is striking, the sound design also plays a major role in its fear factor. It whines, cries, and even laughs like a real baby, sometimes sad and other times gleeful. The disturbing implications of this make this creature all the more horrifying.
