Arachnophobes beware. 

Black Myth: Wukong is a bonafide thrill ride full of awesome bosses that will make you scream "Hell yeah" as you struggle against them. That said, one boss will have you instead yelling, "Nope, nope, nope," that being the Violet Spider. 

You encounter many creepy crawlies throughout the game, with this not even being the first spider you battle. A boss fight with The Second Sister will also pit you against one of these eight-legged freaks. But, The Violet Spider, the matriarch of all the spiders, is easily the scariest.

While her human form is nothing freaky, her spider form will knock your socks off. She pounces around with unreal speed on spindly legs that make you feel tingles across your body. Plus, she has a grotesquely hollow back full of holes and openings. The devs clearly decided a regular arachnid wasn't scary enough, so they threw some body horror in too. 

Maybe Astro Bot took Game of the Year because the voters really hate spiders.
