10 Scariest Villains Of The Decade (So Far)

Picture the scene - you're a tiny kid following the sound of a distant violin in a picturesque Scandinavian forest. You eventually come across a pond and jump onto a lily pad, only for a creepy silhouette in your peripheral vision to stop dead in their tracks, turn their head towards you, and slink into the water.

Sounds like a nightmare, right? Well, that's exactly how Bramble: The Mountain King introduces the game's scariest villain, Näcken.  

You only have to deal with this monster for one level, but it feels like an eternity as his relentless hunt after you is as high-octane as they come. Adding to the terror is that you're so tiny compared to him. He could pick you up in just one hand and still have space to hold his violin. 

It's also safe to say that Näcken isn't much of a looker. The word terrifying just about does him justice. His gangly body, intense eyes, and creepy smile will make you want to avoid every pond you see.
