1. A Kiss Of Death (And By Death I Mean Minthara) - Baldur's Gate 3
Kissing may not seem like the most important mechanic in a turn-based RPG like Baldur's Gate 3, but the fact that the game had a separate patch just for adding additional smooching scenes should tell you about how important it is to the fans.
Everyone loves to be able to kiss their chosen romance partner, but what some may not realize is that the act is not as innocent as it seems.
In one case, it can even kill you!
All of the romanceable characters in the game have their own unique kissing animations, but one of them, everyone's favorite sadistic paladin Minthara, adds another personal touch - poison.
When you kiss Minthara, your moment of intimacy has a chance to end with your character getting the poisoned condition that deals damage!
You can actually confront Minthara about this, in which case she says she deliberately ingests different poisons to develop immunities to them and then suggests you should do the same.
Luckily, the damage her poisonous lips deal isn't that great, but if you ever try to celebrate a hard-earned victory by making out with your drow friend and you're low on health, your decision might actually cost your character their life.
