6. Road Construction Simulator
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWDX39NDnEM We all hate it when you're driving through traffic and you grind to a halt because there's "temporary maintenance works" going on, an all-catch term that tells us absolutely nothing about the problem at hand. Nevertheless, some enterprising fellows thought it'd be a neat idea to show us the other side of the coin, and so here we get to play the villainous gits who cause all of that grid-locked traffic, the construction team themselves! The first task is usually setting out cones for the day's work ahead, then getting on the pneumatic drill, then laying some asphalt, and then evening it all out with a giant steam-roller. Fun. It's a dull, repetitive game that only gets "exciting" later on, when you're performing jobs on the motorway, as cars whiz right past you, though we do wish the traffic had been randomised a little more to incorporate the burning road-rage that festers within every driver who has ever been held up because of these activities. I guess it's a case of scratching your head and wondering quite who these games even appeal to; is it a "class tourist" of some sort, a rich guy who wants to know "how the other half lives"?
