4. Walk It Out
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AbvP2I1nh8s The Nintendo Wii was a revolutionary bit of kit upon release, and it wasn't long before the likes of Wii-Fit took the world by storm, promoting healthy gaming and providing a convenient outlet inside the home for people to work out. Walk It Out, however, aims to accommodate the gamer who doesn't wish to exert themselves too much and risk pulling anything; yes, Walk It Out is...a walking sim. If you're so lazy you can't even be bothered to play a video game to exercise, then Walk It Out is for you, because it only scarcely qualifies as the very lightest of exercise. It's basically an excuse to listen to execrable cover versions of pop songs while not sitting down on your sofa. That's really the cut of it. It's somewhat amusing that the game, like Wii-Fit, keeps track of your stats, detailing calories lost and the such like, because unless you have all the time in the world, it's going to take forever to actually lose weight using this game. Furthermore, it's depressing that we need a freaking video game - formerly the hall-mark of bad health - to tell us to get up and not be completely sedentary all day. Ludicrous.
