10 Single-Player Star Wars Games EA MUST Make After Jedi: Fallen Order
2. Project Luminous
The Shadows of the Empire cross-platform event of the nineties gave us a video game, comic book, novelisation, trading cards, action figures and more which, when taken together, told a cohesive original story set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
The in-development Project Luminous is thought to follow the same mould, telling a brand new Star Wars story, rumoured to predate the Skywalker saga by at least 400 years, later in 2020 via various multi-media platforms.
Sadly, this is pretty much all we know at the moment, with a cryptic Obi-Wan Kenobi quote (“The Force is what gives a Jedi his power...”) and a selection of panels from various comics the only teasers so far.
We do know, however, that EA / Motive are working on an as yet untitled, “very unique” game set in the Star Wars universe, which could well be part of this intriguing new venture.
As we know so little, speculation is at fever-pitch.
Could this be a third-person lightsaber game modelled after Fallen Order, or could it be a tactical first person shooter?
Will it feature the Jedi order as the Obi-Wan quote seems to suggest, or is this a mere red herring to throw us off the scent?
More will be revealed in due course but, for now at least, we can only speculate on what Project Luminous could mean for gamers from all corners of the outer rim territories.
