Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time more than lived up to the legacy of its predecessors, and to the surprise of many fans returned to the more punishing difficulty of the original game.

This is most infuriatingly felt in the late-game level "Rush Hour," which beyond being the worst stage in Crash 4 might be one of the most annoying levels in the entire Crash franchise.

Though players don't have to worry about a Game Over resetting their progress in Crash 4, Rush Hour nevertheless commits the dual cardinal sins of being both boring and way too long.

The level sees players swapping between Dingodile and Tawna throughout, but with a near-total absence of creative platforming on offer, it's a 15-minute slog. Awful checkpointing doesn't help either, particularly during the tricky final traffic platforming sequence.

Clearly, this should've been split up into two separate levels.
