5. Entering Giants Deep For The First Time
At first glance Giants deep looks like an unassuming ball of gas. Like any gas giant. Upon bravely hurling yourself toward its surface you are unprepared. Your expectation of melting into tiny pieces on the surface is subverted brilliantly.
You pierce the thick green atmosphere; while a murky, motion filled ocean seeps into view. Its Intimidating. Until the horizon is cut by several towering maelstroms, all hurtling islands into space. Making It truly a sight to behold which got an audible gasp.
Strangely this place plays with the art style best of all. You can feel the Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker is the influence here. So for a few of us, a strange sense of nostalgia may set in. Which is always great. If your lucky you'll have a huge smile on your face when you realise its influence after picking your chin up.
This is all before you've discovered anything about the planet, or what secrets it holds. Its a rare 'wow' moment rarely seen in games today. Only made better by previous experience with another great game.
