One of the biggest fears ahead of this Beta was that the 6 v 6 match size was simply not big enough, and that this just wouldn't be able to compete with other FPS games like Battlefield 4 (64 players) and even its direct rival, Call of Duty (18 players). 12 players certainly isn't a lot, but this doesn't matter in Titanfall for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, there are bots included to make up the numbers a little, but more importantly, Titanfall is so ridiculously chaotic that including any more than 12 players would probably just make things too cluttered and messy. Considering how much space the Titans take up, adding even 6 more human players would probably cause mayhem, especially considering how small the maps seem to be (and that's not a bad thing). To my complete surprise, I didn't find myself annoyed or bored at the lack of people to kill: there is always something going on. I wouldn't object to a grunt-only mode with more players, but at the same time I'm not going to miss it either.
