Though bots do fill out the numbers and are indistinguishable from human players at a distance, their weaknesses become apparent when you get close to them. Simply, the enemy AI is absolutely atrocious, and despite Respawn promising that they would offer a fair level of challenge, they are extremely easy to take out and rack up the points. Some have argued that this "casualises" the game by allowing even terrible players to level up quickly, but that's not really my concern: it's simply that they're rather boring to engage. Furthermore, I encountered a few instances where I would run around a corner only to find several AI bots standing around doing nothing, as though they were waiting for an enemy to show up and engage a scripted attack sequence. It doesn't make for very rewarding play when this happens, and simply, I want to see the bots doing more: they need to be jumping around, cloaking when necessary, and so on. Hopefully this can be fine-tuned in the next 3 weeks, or patched after release otherwise.
