10 Things Only GTA V Fans Understand

2. The Joys Of Waste Management

Most of the properties in the story mode of GTA V usually serve as a way of accruing small pieces of passive income, at the price of some light babysitting missions. So when purchasing the Sonar Collections Dock as Michael (allowing you to get your hands on your own submersible) it isn’t immediately apparent how the property will operate or generate income.

Financially, the dock is a savvy investment. The submersible allows Michael to collect the barrels of nuclear waste that have been carelessly dumped into the Los Santos waters. Each barrel collected grants you $23,000, with thirty barrels in total. Once you’ve collected all thirty, you get a nice $250,000 bonus, meaning the dock has paid for itself and you get almost $950,000 in profit.

The not-so enjoyable part of this is that the collection process is incredibly dull. Even if you’re efficient, this will still take you at least ninety minutes to two hours to complete (and longer if you can’t find/see a pesky barrel or the unreliable sonar app fails you).

You’re just drifting through the ocean, looking at a wall of blue, accompanied only by a periodic beep.
