10 Things Only GTA V Fans Understand
1. Wandering The Desert For Kifflom
Pilgrimages are sacred things. People use them to discover things within themselves, reflect on life decisions or help with some emotional, spiritual or mental healing. The Epsilon Program within GTA can also do this for you. For a few nominal fees.
Salvation isn’t cheap you know…
Anyone who’s attempted to walk the path of enlightenment as Michael in the main game will know of the escalating tedium that the Epsilon Program puts them through. It starts with fairly mundane and innocuous tasks, eventually turning to acquiring luxury cars for the cult members and hunting down “alien” artifacts.
The most mind-numbing part of the trials is the mission “Exercising the Truth” where Michael must travel five miles in the Grand Senora Desert in his Epsilon Robes.
The game provides updates every tenth of a mile, with Michael receiving phone calls from the Epsilon Leader Cris Formage at four miles and upon completion of the full five miles. What the game doesn’t tell you, is that should Michael leave the desert at any point, your progress will reset.
An unlucky pilgrim could stumble upon some hungry wild dogs or even a cougar, either of which can kill Michael almost instantly.
