4. Getting Lectured For Not Shutting Down Safely, Even If It Wasn't Your Fault
You may think that since you bought your PS4 that you would be the boss. You decide what games you're going to play, you decide how long you get to play and you get to decide when to turn the console off.
You would be sorely mistaken, as the PS4 is sure to remind you anytime you incorrectly turn off the system. It's almost as if Resetti from Animal Crossing lives inside the thing.
It doesn't matter if you have a power cut, a cable comes loose or you simply turn the console off at the plug socket, upon your next boot up the PS4 will scold you for not turning off the PS4 in the correct way. Doing so could lead to you losing your save data, so it's probably for best that the console gets on your back about it.
But at the same time, why can't you just turn off your console when you want? Turning off the PS4 takes an annoying amount of time, requiring you to open a menu and then wait for it to slowly power down. If you look back at any of the previous PlayStation consoles, and you could just turn them off when you were done. Not the PS4.
