9. Finally Update The Commentary!
An area of the game which hasn’t changed in even longer than the menus are the commentators. In the early years PES commentators changed relatively frequently, but now for years we have been stuck with Peter Drury and Jim Beglin.
Drury has been in the game since PES2016, Beglin as co-commentator since PES 2011! If their phrases were updated yearly it would be one thing, but the majority of lines you hear from game to game haven’t now changed in a long time.
An update in the commentary lines would be a start, but again it is the perfect time to start a fresh and bring some new blood into the series. Last year with the name rebrand seemed the perfect time to overhaul everything, but it wasn’t done, there is no excuses why it shouldn’t be for the new consoles. Regardless of the gameplay the overall presentation means a lot.
