10 Things Pro Evolution Soccer Needs To Change To Compete With FIFA Again

8. Something New To Stand Out

FIFA is ahead of PES in almost every department, so why not try something new. EA continue every few years to try new modes with various degrees of success, but it brings new people into the series, modes such as the Journey, House Rules or Volta.

In 2020 MatchDay was brought in, similar to a mode that FIFA had previously tried. It has had some degree of success, but like other modes the lack of content will mean it won’t keep the majority of players hooked for long.

You have to go back a long time before PES has brought a completely new mode to the table which has been a huge success. This is even more of a concern when mode to mode PES falls behind its rival.

Something new, something bold, something different. The best way to get a host of new players would be to offer something FIFA doesn’t have.
