10 Things We Know About PES 2018

6. It Won't Be On Nintendo Switch (This Year)

One thing Nintendo Switch owners won't be able to look forward to is a copy of PES 2018 on their brand-spanking new console. Whilst EA are busy talking up the unique version of FIFA 18 they have planned for Nintendo's system, Konami have kept eerily quiet about the Switch.

That doesn't mean PES won't see release on Switch at some point, but it's unlikely to be this year by the looks of things. Trawl through any number of developer interviews or PES 2018 coverage and the Nintendo console is entirely absent. Not only that, but a PES game hasn't been seen on Nintendo hardware since 2014's 3DS version of PES 2014.

Should the Switch show any signs of longevity, it could be an option in the future. For now though, Xbox One, 360, PS4, PS3 and PC will be the only available formats for the new PES game. EA have the edge there, unless their first foray into Switch territory is a colossal failure.
