1. Suspend/Resume
In a similar fashion to the way the PS Vita operates, there will be a standby function on the PS4 allowing a user to shut down the system so that when they return, it will be possible to instantly carry on where a game was left off. The standby mode also means that updates and maintenance can be done overnight, preventing the inconvenience of having to run an update when all you want to do is play. This should mean users won't see any loading or waiting bars, as everything should be done in the background.
