2. Play As You Download
Play as you download is a feature that's already been mentioned, though its worth another look as it would appear to be an immensely useful addition, especially when dealing with presumably increasing game sizes. Splitting a download up into chunks, once a minimum required amount is met, users may begin playing the game being downloaded. When asked what would happen if the player caught up with the download, Sony suggested that there would be a message indicating further downloading is required before proceeding. Additionally, users will able to select the order of the chunks being downloaded, for example, whether do download the single player or multi player portion of a game first. Similarly, there will also be a play as you install feature for blu-ray discs as well as the ability to download in the background while playing another game.
