10 Things You Need To Know About The Cancelled Justice League Video Game

6. Double Helix Were Developing It

The developer behind the cancelled Justice League game was Double Helix Games - an American video game developer based in Irvine, California, which was founded in 2007 through two mergers of Foundation 9 studios, The Collective and Shiny Entertainment. They have now been bought out by Amazon.com and are now a subsidiary of the electronic commerce company. For reference, Double Helix Games were the developers behind Killer Instinct, a fighting game that was released exclusively as a free-to-play launch game for the Xbox One in 2013. Killer Instinct is critically acclaimed, scoring a 73/100 and a 74.34% approval rating from aggregate review sites Metacritic and GameRankings respectively. So, in spite of what you can see from the partially developed Justice League game, it was actually in good hands. Other games made by the company include G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Battleship and Strider.
