The football management simulator totally embeds you in the role of a manager, leaving you in charge of virtually everything from transfer dealings to where the cones need to be dropped in training exercises.

Thanks to the fact that in-game weeks and matchdays can pass by in a matter of minutes, it's easy to think that you don't have to dedicate a lot of time if you want to make good progress in a season. Ultimately this kind of underestimation is what will have you donning your suit for morning press conferences after starting some twelve hours previously.

It's easy to think that you're not really stuck in a mammoth gaming session because the input you actually have to make in Football Manager is very light. The premise of the game sounds simple, of course, but the actual content that's offered throughout is staggeringly dense.
