10 Times Video Game DLC Was Better Than The Main Story

6. Mooncrash - Prey

Prey fell down towards the end when you became so powerful and over-equipped that enemies neglected to feel like a threat. The end essentially became a formality. And whilst they made an effort to make the game replayable, once you knew enemy locations, the game lost its flare.

Mooncrash, on the other hand, fixes every problem with the main game and makes an incredibly fun FPS rogue-like. It takes the refined gameplay of the main game and puts it into an infinitely replayable scenario and thus creates a more focused experience. The reactive and tactical gameplay thrives when the player is forced into new scenarios, which Mooncrash constantly does.

It capitalises on the stranded feeling of the first few hours of the main game. That vulnerability as you stumble around a destroyed space-station trying to figure everything out. It takes the excellence that that feeling was, and makes it the entire game. Simple, but effective.
