10 Times Video Games Got Weapons Wrong
4. Blunt Force Trauma - Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Easily the most famous weapon on this list, the world got its first taste of the lightsaber in the 1977 space opera Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.
Although it is not a real weapon, the properties of the lightsaber are still very obvious: it's an extremely hot energy-sword that can cut through almost any material or substance. So how do so many of the Star Wars games fail to understand this concept?
It is well-documented that many Star Wars games have failed to include the feature due to the significant bump in ESRB rating that would surely come with the game. The last Star Wars game to feature a form of dismemberment is Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, released in 2010.
With Disney purchasing the licensing to George Lucas' sci-fi universe in 2012, we have had 3 major console releases for the franchise, and none of which have featured any form on limb dismemberment.
For as long as Mickey Mouse and Co hold the licensing to the Star Wars universe, we are unlikely to ever see another limb fly from a lightsaber.
