10 Titles To Play If You Love Telltale Games
1. Tales From The Borderlands
Yes, Tales from the Borderlands is indeed a Telltale game. However, it is a critically acclaimed title of theirs which wasn’t an overwhelming success financially.
It is their best episodic series to date, and it is a shame that it is also their most underappreciated because of fans being turned off by Borderlands. If you know nothing about the Borderlands franchise other than it being a popular domain for gun pornography, you needn’t threat. Everything you need to know about it is quickly explained verbally or through notes, and you don’t need to be an avid fan to fall in love with its zany style and whacky side characters.
If you’re a Borderlands fan who doesn’t understand how Telltale can faithfully represent its lore and humour, please know that Telltale and Gearbox’s bizarre crossover is as miraculously successful as Square Enix and Disney’s. With only a skeleton crew of passionate employees, Telltale put a lot of effort into mirroring and besting the witty comedy of its source material, giving Handsome Jack his best outing so far as the warped hero of his own story.
Tales from the Borderlands oozes charm, charisma and style. Its characters and relationships are endearing and unforgettable, almost every one of its jokes will have you laughing out loud, and watching its crew do the slow-motion astronaut walk while ‘To The Top’ by Twin Shadows blasts out will have you wondering why Guardians Of The Galaxy isn’t this good.
