10 TV Sitcoms That Would Make Great Video Games

8. Blackadder

Seinfeld game

Edmund Blackadder, time explorer, has one goal: to visit some of the most dramatic and important moments in England’s history, and weasel his way into a position of wealth and power.

Taking influence from the TimeSplitters series, the Blackadder game takes the crafty character established by Rowan Atkinson and exports him to more memorable moments in the past. This is a test of your cunning and problem solving. The task is always the same: to become rich and powerful - but the methods will vary depending on where in history you find yourself.

Perhaps you’ll need to turn advisors against each other in a king’s court, or work out which side to align yourself with during a civil war. This is a stealth game with an emphasis on player choice. Blackadder, a keen spinner of untruths, will need to remember which lies he told to whom if he hopes to escape from these tumultuous times unscathed.

You’ll need to decide who you align yourself with, such as the loyal but unreliable Baldrick, or the capable, dangerously ambitious Darling. There are authority figures to bluff and bluster and rivals to best - it’s a dishonourable journey to the top.
