6. Alan Wake 2
Though Alan Wake was not a massive success upon its release, word of the game got out in the months that followed and its success began to build as it acquainted itself with a much wider audience. Unfortunately, it is for this reason that we will not be hearing the announcement for the game's sequel any time soon. 'Remedy' - the developers - actually responded to the fans who were left wondering why a sequel was not underway, stating that due to the game's initially 'slow start' they simply did not have the funding to create a sequel that was 'worthy' of its predecessor - or its fans. Whilst Remedy will be working on other projects in the meantime, it seems that the sequel to Alan Wake has been put aside for the time being. Some gamers were happy to accept an entirely new game, though others are still remaining strong in their desires for another Alan Wake - at least they can take comfort in the fact that Remedy is not going to simply rush out a second instalment and will presumably spend a great deal of time and effort on the sequel, should they choose to create one.
