10 Unfair Boss Fights Designed To Piss You Off

5. Tyrant (Resident Evil: Code Veronica)

Resident Evil: Code Veronica tends to be divisive amongst fans; some cling to it joyfully as one the last remnants of the series classic era, whereas others shun it for its clunky design and pantomime-esque characters.

However, the one unanimous opinion across the board is that the Tyrant encounter aboard the aircraft is the absolute worst.

The Tyrant himself isn't especially challenging. Sure, he hits pretty hard and you don't have a lot of room to evade him, but if you've stocked up on ammo and supplies you'll get by just fine. But as many of us Resident Evil veterans will no doubt know, this hulking giant can bring your adventure to a very abrupt end if not approached correctly.

Prior to entering the room where the Tyrant resides, there's a typewriter for you to save your progress. If you choose to save the game here, you need to ensure you have enough ammo to take the Tyrant down or you're completely screwed as you simply won't be able to beat it.

This now infamous oversight led to many players having to start the game again from scratch, losing a good four-to-six hours of progress in doing-so.

Truly infuriating stuff.
