10 Unforgettable Gaming Moments Of This Generation

8. Grand Theft Auto IV - Three Leaf Clover

There is no doubt in my mind that everyone's favourite mission in GTA IV was Three Leaf Clover. It certainly provided the most memorable scene, chase, and gun-fight throughout your adventure in Liberty City. Once Niko gets into his nice fancy suit, well that is when the chaos begins. You meet your partner in crime, Packie McReary and his band of brothers. Soon you are driving to lower Algonquin in your high end suits and ski masks, and then bursting through the front door of the Bank of Liberty. Everyone hits the floor as a scene starts that rivals anything out of even the best gangster movies. You intimidate the terrified Bank goers and employees, but then things start to head south. Derrick, Packie's brother, starts talking a little too much about your fellow robbers personal lives in an attempt to convince the hostages they weren't going to hurt them. Derrick and Packie begin arguing, and in a moment when it seems your plan is beginning to fall apart, one of the Bank hostages sees this as a chance to be a hero. He draws his gun and takes out your fellow thief and McReary family friend. What's left of the group fires round after round into the "hero" as the explosives placed on the safe finally go off. From there you take your prize, as the police and NOOSE surround the building. You find yourself running the streets of Algonquin, taking on a helicopter, racing your way through the subway systems, and eventually finding an escape car. It was fun, action packed and heart pounding, (mostly due to the fact that there were no mid-mission checkpoints.) This was the mission that stuck with you long after your copy of GTA IV began collecting dust. So it was especially exciting when you got to relive your favourite memory, only this time you're that other hostage on the ground, telling the idiot that was soon to be blown away that you don't think drawing your gun on Bank robbers is the best idea. Now that is how you open DLC, and while The Ballad of Gay Tony has its memorable moments, opening with that particular scene made the rest that much sweeter.
