10 Unknown PS2 Games That Deserve A Remake

9. Extermination

Pryzm The Dark Unicorn
Deep Space

it would be remiss to call Extermination a Resident Evil clone and knock off for the day.

It actually has more in common with 80's horror flick The Thing, but with the third person controls of Resident Evil (just to keep the moaners happy).

Yet Extermination was a competent title in the early days of the PS2, back in 2001, that could have been bigger. Perhaps not run into the ground with sequels like its direct comparison, but better than a mildly received PS2 debut.

As it was, the adventures of Dennis was a one and done affair that came and went without much fanfare.

It had a decent story, a strong combat and weapon customisation system, as well as a rather nifty infection mechanic you had to keep an eye on. There's so much potential to expand on the first regarded survival horror for the PS2.

Dead Space 3 dropped the ball on snowy horror by, well, removing the horror. Maybe a fresh perspective into Extermination can pick up what other franchises have dropped?
