10 Unpopular Opinions That’ll Make Gamers Rage
3. Bioshock: Infinite Is An Incredibly Overrated Mess

If you were one of those people who think something is continually amiss when watching Infinite receive buckets and buckets of praise, this entry is for you. For the most part the only criticism that's out there in the mainstream gaming opinion is that the combat was a bit forced and repetitive, but that tends to be where the quibbles stop.
That being said though, if you can remove yourself from praising things such as the graphics (on PC at least) and the ambition behind the story itself, pretty much every aspect of the game totally crumbles under scrutiny.
Take Booker and Elizabeth's relationship for one; something that in the many previews for the game we were told would be a 'step up' in terms of human-digital interaction, whereby we'd be able to fall in love with her over the course of the game, and genuinely care for her. In-game your conversations with her are remarkably stilted, and seem to jump to points of intimacy just for the sake of it; two particularly jarring points coming with your reuniting with her following separation and the dialogue barely reflecting anything meaningful, and a horribly forced scene where the two of them sing a balladic song together behind a pub, despite you having just shot scores of people seconds beforehand.
Then there's the endgame unravelling, which for the sake of this entry I'll have to spoil:
What was up with that Booker/Comstock confrontation? The whole game was building fairly well to this showdown... only for Booker to brutally batter him to death, leaving you searching for answers, only to be given that forced and overcomplicated finale.
All of that is without going into detail about the extremely basic combat, which without a cover system or decent weapon-progression meant enemies like the Handymen were just plain broken. It felt as if Irrational put in the option to respawn infinitely, simply as the only recourse for dealing with these frustrations.
