10 Upcoming 2019 Video Games You Could Totally Miss
3. Luigi’s Mansion 3
Like Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, you’re likely to at least hear about Luigi’s Mansion 3 when it releases on Halloween. However, with so many massive games releasing around it, actually picking the title up may be put on ice for a lot of players.
Luigi has been in Mario’s shadow for pretty much all of his career, but his Mansion series does afford him a place to shine. Coming to the Switch for the first time, it might yet be Luigi’s own Super Mario Odyssey, elevating the series to new heights.
The game is set to be more open ended than previous instalments - already providing a link to Odyssey - with fewer predefined missions and more focus on exploration. There will be eight levels, each one with a different theme, so it could be the series’ most creative game yet.
Multiplayer is coming for the first time as well, with up to eight players (both local and online) able to play the ScareScraper mode. It looks set to be one of the most ambitious and inventive Mario franchise games ever, and it would be a real shame if it were lost in the shuffle.
