Marvel's Spider-Man is one of those 'moments' in video game history, essentially killing the eighth generation of console wars. Miles Morales kept the series ticking over nicely, but the upcoming release of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is the next big leap forward the critically acclaimed series has been waiting for.

But, some of the features that have already been teased so far have already helped it stand out as a genuinely breathtaking title in the making. Promising to 'push the capabilities' of the PS5 system as an exclusive title, Yuri Lowenthal and Nadji Jeter are set to return as Peter and Miles, with Bryan Intihar and Ryan Smith returning as creative director and game director as per the 2018 predecessor. Expect a considerable amount of faithfulness to all the things that helped put the series on the map in the first place.

What's more, Venom (voiced by Tony 'cannot believe Candyman is voicing Venom' Todd) is set to feature as the game's big baddie, though not its sole one with the likes of Green Goblin and Kraven: The Hunter noticeably being absent from the 2018 entry.
