10 Upcoming Shooters That Could Destroy Call Of Duty

7. Homefront 2 (Platforms TBA - 2014)

Homefront 2 Homefront was a far from a perfect game, but it had a brilliant framework from which a vastly superior sequel could be made. With THQ bankrupt, the original game is a distant memory to most now, given that the multiplayer servers were shut down earlier this year, while Crytek has taken on publishing the sequel, even if details remain sketchy to date. As a result, we can only speculate on how it could best CoD, though the main appeal of the original game was its diverse multiplayer, which allowed players to purchase increasingly destructive weapons and vehicles, making it more versatile then CoD, even if it never ascended to the same level of popularity (and rampant server issues certainly didn't help). Sure, it's inspired by Red Dawn - and John Milius had a hand in crafting the story - but with Crytek at the helm, they can no doubt ensure a visually awesome game with a cracking story to boot, and hopefully some refined multiplayer too.
