10 Upcoming Video Game Remakes That Could Be Better Than The Original

6. Postal 2 Redux

The Witcher 1
Running with Scissors

Developer Running with Scissors recently made the wildly unexpected announcement that 2003's politically incorrect mayhem simulator Postal 2 is getting a remake from the ground-up - Postal 2 Redux.

What the hell, sure.

Between its janky gameplay and wilfully perverse tone, Postal 2 was one of the most divisive and controversial games of its era, and therefore hardly a game most expected to see remade in the year of our lord 2025.

But Running with Scissors has maintained an old-school sensibility over the decades and clearly has no interest in delivering a sanitised Postal 2 to accommodate modern tastes.

In addition to retaining the original game's bold vibe, Postal 2 Redux will reimagine its open world sandbox with high-res visuals, with the developer also promising no loading screens to deliver a more immersive experience.

Civilian and cop AI will also be massively improved to make chaos feel more organic and "alive," weapon physics have been entirely overhauled, and environmental interiors can now be comprehensively damaged by your arsenal.

And above all else, considering that Postal 2 has a tendency to run horribly on modern systems, it'll simply be a relief to easily get good performance out of it again.
