10 Upcoming Video Game Remakes That Could Be Better Than The Original
5. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is such an incredible game that it might be difficult to consider the possibility that the impending remake could possibly improve it, especially without the involvement of franchise honcho Hideo Kojima.
But Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater does have a lot going for it - for one, it'll be using Unreal Engine 5 to give the game one hell of a visual makeover, though Konami has assured fans that the original's distinctive "pee filter" tint can be toggled on and off.
Elsewhere the remake looks to streamline the more dated aspects of the original gameplay to fall in line with contemporary expectations - a slicker UI for changing camo and accessing the codec, an over-the-shoulder camera for combat, the ability to crouch walk, a compass pointing to your next objective, and a whole host of accessibility options.
Basically, it looks like the new Snake Eater is retaining everything people love about the original while just making it a more frictionless experience in all the right ways.
