1. RiME
What is it: After a troubled developmental history, RIME has jumped from console to console, at one point being an Xbox exclusive project, and then a Playstation exclusive project. Now that the developers have brought out their own project from Sony, RIME is finally ready to be explored this month.
RIME is a puzzle adventure game, set in a mysterious island. A young boy, guided by a helpful fox, awakens on the shore of an island of untamed wilderness and a massive tower standing amongst the ruins. As you journey towards the peak of the tower, you'll explore the many secrets of the island and the history of the world, the boy, and the island's inhabitants.
The most striking thing about RIME is the gorgeous art style, a seamless melding of Wind Waker and ICO. Puzzles also promise to be captivatingly creative, delving into puzzles of sound, perspective, light & shadow, and even the manipulation of time? What on earth could the island be holding within it?
When's it coming out: Rime arrives on the 26 May for Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch release is coming later in 2017.
