10 USELESS Video Game Skills You Were Tricked Into Buying
3. Seeming - Baldur's Gate 3
Baldur's Gate 3 gives the player over 240 spells to play around with. Your only limitation is how many spell slots your characters have, which is why you don't want to waste them on abilities that leave much to be desired.
There are actually quite a few spells that are better off warming the benches, but out of all of them, this is the one you definitely don't want to invest your precious resources into.
Seeming is a 5th-level spell that's basically an upgraded version of Disguise Self. It allows the player to transform their entire party into different people, and while it sounds pretty amazing and spectacular, it doesn't really come with any practical uses.
You'd think that the ability to change all of your teammates into any race and gender would open up plenty of opportunities for espionage and infiltration, but in reality, what you can do with seeming, you can do with disguising yourself, only cheaper. That's because only one character can have conversations with people, and it's only their traits and appearance that matter.
So yes, the extra disguises are a useless waste of a perfectly good 5th level spell slot. Or, in other words, a very expensive fashion statement.
