Silent Hill has been filling gaming chairs and underpants for a good long while now, blending irresistible gameplay with genuinely terrifying moments that stay with you well beyond the end of the games. The developers hit upon the perfect strategy for horrifying players, with traditional scares melded to oddities and freakshow escapees, and the greatest Easter egg of the entire series is probably the weirdest thing about the entire property.

In Silent Hill 2, there is a secret ending that can be unlocked by playing through the game once, and then playing again to unearth a boney key that fits a lock to a secret room (it's not actually as simple as you might think, and multiple playthroughs are often necessary to nail it.) Opening that door reveals one of the flat-out weirdest things ever included in a video game, let alone in Silent Hill, and seeing really is believing...

Who would have thought he'd have the dexterity to manipulate so many buttons with his paws, let alone play out a grand, horrifying chess game involving protagonist John Sunderland and his dead wife?! The final weird revelation is the alternate credits sequence, which appears to have been made by someone with both a massive dog fixation, and a probable massive head injury.
