5. Wakka - Final Fantasy X
We don't even know where to start with Wakka. The gravity-defying ginger quiff, the awkward Jamaican accent, the fact that he's always shouting, the irritating gestures and the stale chat all combine to assault your senses. You could probably overlook all of that and still respect him as a character; if it wasn't for the casual racism. That's right, Wakka is openly racist towards the Al-Bhed people, including the (also arguably irritating) cutesy blonde Al-Bhed party member, Rikku. Other party members point out when Wakka is being a d*ck, but it seems his terrible quiff gives him ridiculous levels of self-esteem, leading to a "Wakka is always right" complex. While playing the game, the choice is easy - Excessively loud, racist Wakka with his cheesy catchphrases and comedy hairstyle, or the cooler than ice, somber, humanoid cat creature - Kimahri. Pass on the intolerant, ginger Jamaican dude; we'll take the spear-weilding lion every time. Most annoying quote: "This is great! I'm travelling with an Al-Bhed! A heathen!"
