2. Goombas - Super Mario Bros.
Honestly, these things are pretty much harmless. How Bowser was able to use them to take over any kingdom is beyond me. Well for all two of you who don't know i'll explain what these are. Goombas are the mushroom soldiers of Bowser whom he uses alongside his Koopa Troopers in his conquests of the Mushroom Kingdom and Beyond. In the earliest games they had two functions: Walk to the left/right and get stomped by the fat plumber. These guys were so pathetic in life that they could be beaten by Toad in the later games. Mushrooms with legs and fangs are really not the kind of soldiers you'd expect an evil Koopa dictator to have in his army, especially an army which is being used to combat an entire kingdom. Maybe this one is just a personal thing but I feel so bad every time I crush a Goomba, it's like crushing someone in a wheelchair. You could easily have just side stepped them or jumped over them but no, Mario takes sick pleasure in stomping each one. He even gives himself points based off the amount he stomps. Now that is the making of a psychopath right there. For the millions of Goombas who have been stomped over the past 28 years I say "sorry".
