10 Video Game Bosses That Probably Deserved To Win
5. Vergil (Devil May Cry 3)
In most games, if a character turns out to have a twin brother or sister they end up being completely evil, yet this doesn't stick quite as well to Vergil. Sure, he summoned the Temen-ni-gru and ultimate power, but haven't we all made mistakes in our past? There must have been some point in everyone's life when they sat down, had a sip of tea and thought about ruling the world for a bit.
He was tricked and manipulated by Arkham and although he does fight Dante quite a fair amount throughout, doesn't Lady do the same? In fact, if we look at things from a different angle, we realise that in a sense Vergil wants demonic power because he couldn't protect his mother and his failure to do so have made him shun human relationships.
I'm not saying Vergil should have been given complete demonic power as it turns out Arkham was the one after this, but he should have survived. To lose against Mundus and be turned into Nelo Angelo isn't exactly a fate I wanted him to have.
