The badass galactic heroine Samus Aran is one of Nintendo's many beloved protagonists. One of her most powerful weapons has to be the iconic Varia Suit she wears on her adventures. That's what makes this villain so terrifying, as they fuse with that suit to create a whole new monster.

SA-X is a doppelganger enemy that acts as the main antagonist in Metroid Fusion. They start out as an X Parasite that almost takes Samus' life after infecting her. However, instead of killing the icon, this parasite becomes one with part of her suit and creates a physical form.

This horrifying baddie uses Samus' iconic Power Suit for its own gain. They operate as a version of Samus at full power, stalking and hunting the player as they play a weakened rendition of the protagonist attempting to level back up. You can't even fight this creature for most of the game, being forced to run and hide instead.

SA-X also takes advantage of Samus' weaponry, especially as they use the Ice Beam against her. This is almost a death sentence as Samus became incredibly vulnerable to cold after receiving the Metroid vaccine during the game's opening hours. Overall, this beast is a nightmare.
