If you're not prepared, there's not a single boss in the Final Fantasy series that isn't an unbelievable challenge for your party. And even if you are, the namesake guardian of Gizamaluke's Grotto is sure to give you quite a hard time.

Obviously, being a Final Fantasy game, the player has an absolute ton of strategies to choose from. Will sword and spear be this winged sea monster's weakness, or is it Black Magic and Eidolon summoning that really does the trick here?

As it turns out, neither, for the best thing to use against Gizamaluke is something you'd never, ever have guessed in a million years: a tent!

Yep, the items you pitch across the overworld to restore your health are, in fact, deadly tools in the battle of Gizamaluke's Grotto. And while, true, the tent is not a secret item by any stretch, the sheer unthinkability of using it as an offensive weapon is absolutely a secret you probably could've done with knowing sooner.

Using the tent on Gizamaluke will afflict it with Silence, Darkness and Poison, leaving it unable to perform many of its attacks and with health sapping away from it every turn. It goes without saying that this method gives your party an extreme advantage in the fight - and all it took was a bit of weather-resistant fabric.
