10 Video Game Characters Before They Were Famous

3. Leon S. Kennedy

First Appearance: Resident Evil 2 (1998)

In Chinese mythology, a creature known as the Bai Ze is said to foretell of impending disaster. Leon Kennedy is sort of the zombie apocalypse equivalent. Or maybe he's just hopelessly unfortunate.

Luckless Leon haplessly fell right into danger during his very first day on the beat in Raccoon City. Admittedly, his exploits there didn't go unnoticed, but it wasn't until the cursed cop stumbled into Ganados territory that he gained universal renown. If a floppy haired police-officer with an unconvincing voice ever knocks on your door, board the windows.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
