3. Citra - Far Cry 3
Across Far Cry 3, players spend their time running around the Rook Islands looking for Jason Brody's friends. Along the way, they will encounter Citra, the alluring leader of the Rakyat who ends the game asking players to kill their friends and embrace life on the islands as the group's leader.
Not only will choosing to side with Citra lead to the deaths of all of Jason's friends, but it'll also trigger a big hint from the developers that you made the wrong call, with Jason himself being killed off by this rebel-leader-turned-wannabe-Goddess.
Overall, most players make the far more sensible decision to stick to their mission and choose their friends. However, doing so will cause Citra's death when she steps in the way of Dennis' attack on Jason.
And whilst it's a sad moment for Brody, it's one we're fairly confident in saying he'll get over once he's back to civilisation.
