10 Video Game Characters Who Completely Dropped The Ball
4. Mondo Owada - Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
When you first meet Mondo Owada, it's hard to not find him a little endearing - as from his huge pompadour to his passionate desire to keep his word, he's all the tropes of a biker with a heart of gold you've no doubt seen in countless other media.
Unfortunately, his ardent urge to stay "honourable" is actually what leads to his downfall.
Mondo's brother - Daiya - would end up dying to try and save Mondo, after he became too daring in one of their races and almost drove straight into traffic. This became the man's darkest secret - and his most shameful.
As such, when the killing games of Danganronpa developed to the point where each of the student's worst secrets were placed in envelopes, and the students were told they'd be revealed to the world if nobody was killed within 24 hours.
When Mondo's friend Chihiro revealed his secret to the biker, it drove the pompadour-clad classmate into a rage, as he felt Chihiro had managed to do something braver and thus stronger than Mondo was able to.
In a fit of rage, Mondo would kill Chihiro, ultimately only making himself feel worse, as now two people had died because of his act-first, think-later nature.
